‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Tammy Slaton’s family is furious when they found out who she’s actually marrying

Tammy Slaton did not receive the response from her family that she had hoped for when she informed them of her engagement.

The 36-year-old woman contacts her family to let them know that she got engaged to her now-husband Caleb Willingham in an exclusive clip from the episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters that was made available to PEOPLE on Tuesday. Tammy had been concentrating on her mission to lose weight at the Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg, Ohio, and that’s where the couple met each other.

“I don’t know how they’re going to respond, but I really hope that they’re going to be happy for me,” Tammy adds. “I truly hope they’re going to be happy for me.” “I’m nervous.”

In the video, Tammy tells her sisters Amy, Amanda, and Misty as well as her brother Chris the news while they are all on FaceTime together. As she mentioned the proposal and showed off her ring, all of her siblings initially sat quietly in confusion. However, when she explained the situation, they all started laughing.

Amanda responds, “Well, I mean, I noticed on social media that you had a boyfriend but that was just a couple weeks ago,” implying that she is aware of the recent past.

In a confessional, Amy utters the phrase “what the f—.” “In all candor, I believed Tammy was making a joke. She is set on wedlock with a complete stranger.”

“But then again, she’s always loved hard and loved fast,” she continues, remembering a time when Tammy once told a guy she loved him an hour after meeting him. “But then again, she’s always loved hard and loved fast,” she says. “I’m not going to lie; I was once in the same position as you are now. Yet I matured through time.”

Tammy responded that she and Caleb have been dating for a month and that they are making plans to get married in two weeks after Amy asked how long Tammy has known Caleb, and Amy then asked how long Tammy has known Tammy. Although Misty is shaking her head, Amanda continued by saying that Tammy is going too soon in the relationship.

“Two weeks, are you f—ing kidding me?” Amanda says. “Why jump into anything so quickly? There is no justification for doing that. It’s only that, before my sister goes and adopts your surname, I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me your first, middle, and last names.”
