“The list goes on and on: sertraline/venlafaxine/citalopram/mirtazapine/fluoxetine/escitalopram/klonopin/buspirone/abilify…
If you’re unfortunate enough to know what these tablets are, I won’t have to explain what this essay is about to you. But if you don’t, I’ll tell you all you need to know.
This drug enables patients to go about their daily lives normally. On most days, though, it leaves them exhausted, disoriented, and emotionless. Isn’t it crazy? Why would anyone want to be in that situation? This is the reason.

Some folks, you see, struggle with sadness and anxiety.
It doesn’t sit right with them, and something doesn’t seem quite right. They pick up on little changes that ‘regular’ individuals would overlook.
You didn’t tag them in that comment, but you did tag others. They notice this and wonder aloud, ‘Why didn’t you tag me?’ ‘What’s the matter with me?’
You read their message, and they know you did, but you didn’t respond… ‘How come you didn’t respond?’ And they believe they have offended you in some way.
On the phone, you didn’t say I love you… ‘Do you no longer adore them? ‘Do you have feelings for someone else instead?’
Someone recently made a remark about them. ‘Was it a joke, or what?’ Was it intended for that person to laugh? Or were they joking? Are they being courteous? Is it possible that they’re referring to me? ‘Do they discuss them?’ Then they think to themselves, ‘I’m sure they don’t like me.’

They are constantly apologizing. They have the impression that they annoy everyone. ‘Are you angry with me?’ Because they think you’re irritated with them all. THE.TIME!
And they’ll spend hours trying to answer all of those queries. Allow everything to build up in their minds till it brings them to tears… isn’t it mental?! That’s how they perceive things.
Physical as well as mental changes are occurring. They don’t eat much, mostly rubbish, because they are in a hurry and require the vitality that comes with a lack of sleep. Insomnia, staying up all night answering questions about hypothetical circumstances. Or they sleep too much and end up feeling exhausted for half the day.
When you ask why they still smile and provide all kinds of excuses.

The tablets, on the other hand, maybe of assistance.
Because they are aware that when they begin to feel or think in this manner, they require assistance.
They are aware that when their conduct begins to shift, they require assistance. They also learn that they don’t have to be embarrassed. They aren’t required to be comprehended. All they need is to be accepted. Everyone is waging a struggle, and it is sometimes necessary to be gentle.
So I could just be another person discussing mental health. It’s difficult to live with this sickness, but it’s much more difficult to comprehend it.
Don’t let your pain go unnoticed.”
