After being sexually attacked by her spouse, a courageous retiree makes a horrific 999 call for help.
The 78-year-old woman, who has not been identified, can be heard sobbing into the phone as she describes how her cruel husband ‘forced himself on her.
She goes on to describe how she has been subjected to physical and sexual abuse for years and how afraid she is that no one would believe her.
During the three-minute call, the victim expressed her fear of the latest sexual assault, saying she was “very scared.”
‘He tried to push himself on me,’ she alleged. It was evident to me that it was not acceptable. I believe the word for that is insane. ‘I’m terrified to death.’

The identity of the victim has been withheld, however, police have confirmed that the call was made within the last 12 months.
The woman received specialized assistance from the police, but the husband was not charged.
The video was released as part of Avon and Somerset Police’s effort to combat domestic abuse.
The ‘Precious Moments’ campaign aims to raise awareness of the lesser-known victims of domestic violence, such as men, the LGBT community, and the elderly.
Domestic abuse can be reported by calling Avon and Somerset Police on 999, 101, or on the police website.
