Carrie Jansen and her husband, Nic, have been married for three years and, like any other married couple, have had a lot of queries about children.
Curious mothers and aunts yearned for a new baby, but they were in for a… furrier surprise when Jansen shared an odd set of images to Facebook.
Jansen and her sister Becca worked with one other to come up with a creative method to tell their friends and family about their new golden retriever dog, Leelu.
The photographs weren’t a direct response to everyone who had inquired about having children, but they did fool a few of them!
Jansen stated that she does not intend to have a child of her own. She told TODAY, “I just want to accomplish a lot of things and go to a lot of places in my life.”
Jansen has had a massive response since uploading the photo to Facebook a little over a week ago. “I believe it blew up online because it’s such a hot topic,” she explained. “A lot of people are delaying or opting out of having children.”
She doesn’t expect the questions to stop, but she already has a lot on her plate caring for Leelu.
Jansen stated, “She’s very sweet, but she’s a handful.”
At the very least, she’s a delightful handful!
