This little boy’s mother bought him a new jacket because it was winter and the old one was no longer good.

On Facebook, a mom wanted to share a tale about her son with her friends. That event caused her to reflect on how children are educated nowadays.

“I bought a good winter coat for my small kid last week. I predicted that it would snow soon, and I warned that we needed to be ready. Her clothes from the previous year didn’t fit and had begun to disintegrate after so many washes.

She went to school today for the first time and put on her new coat. When I arrived to pick him up from school, I noticed a young child of my son’s age in the yard, dressed in what appeared to be my son’s coat. I reasoned that another parent might share my good views and preferences.

I was out of breath when I saw my son clothed in his old coat. I inquired as to where his coat was and what had occurred. He began by telling me about a classmate who refused to take a break in the schoolyard because he lacked a winter coat and was shivering excessively, so he felt his new coat might come in handy. He gave her the new coat because he already had one, the one with the gnawed sleeves, as he calls it.

“Mommy, this boy was going to come home shivering from the cold,” she explained. I had to hand over the coat to him!

My rage vanished at that precise instant. I calmed down as I remembered all those times when I doubted my abilities as a parent when I worried about what would come out of my hands if my boyfriend would mature into a good guy. I’m quite proud of my child. He made me cry when he thought about a fellow man who was suffering and how he had sacrificed some of his own anguish for someone else.”
