We are often made aware of desperate social causes that need help.
♦ ️The story of this old man surpasses the imagination, unfortunately.
In an abandoned hut, in some impossible living conditions, which can easily be compared to hell, he is waiting, at the age of 70, for the end.
Life was hard on him. His health had left him since he was young and he had not seen the sunlight clearly for years because he could no longer see with one eye. We don’t even know what’s more painful. The fact that he lives in such conditions alone, or the fact that he is an almost lucid man, aware of his heartbreaking condition.
He has no income. No ID at all. Because no one has bothered to help him so far.
He greeted us in his house with a trembling voice. Although he could not see us well, he asked us to help him. Let’s not leave him. To be able to have a dignified end to life for a man who has worked so many years.
We left him more troubled than ever. He and dozens, maybe hundreds of other grandparents in the country end up left in the dark. Without even a lighted candle on his head.
It has become our duty not to abandon them all.
Our call comes from the heart.
