With such a mutation, a four-legged woman lived for 60 years.
This congenital abnormality began in the womb. (She was Siamese, after all!) Her sister, on the other hand, did not fully mature, and her body was left with a second pelvis that was not hers. She had seven siblings, although none of them were as well-known as she was. Myrtle Corbin took her abnormality to theaters and fairs to demonstrate it!

This genetic aberration was dubbed “teratology” by experts at the time.

Myrtle would not give up and went on to marry her expert, Dr. Bicknell, with whom she had five children without any issues during childbirth!

Another interesting detail is that because she had two pelvises, she could get pregnant in either one, she had duplicated organs, and three of the five deliveries were on the right side and the other two on the left, each pregnancy putting her life in jeopardy, yet she still had them!

She died of an infection in one of her legs at the age of 60, after having worked in fairs, circuses, and theaters during her youth and after raising a huge family!
