An 11-year-old girl was getting ready for sleep, but she heard strange NOISES coming from her closet

An 11-year-old Oklahoma girl said she was “terrified to death” when she discovered a stranger lurking in her closet, who turned out to be a wanted guy.

“Don’t be terrified, little daughter,” the intruder murmured as he emerged from Presley Brown’s walk-in closet.

Her shouts attracted her father, who attacked the intruder before fleeing with $100 from her birthday fund.

Race Cox, a 26-year-old suspect wanted on at least one felony warrant, was apprehended by police.

While playing on her phone in her en suite bathroom, Presley noticed the weird man’s reflection in a mirror.

She told ABC affiliate WNEP-TV, “I started screaming bloody murder.”

“I’m hoping there aren’t any other men in my closet,” she continued.

Monica Brown, the girl’s mother, reported hearing her daughter’s fear.

“Her scream may be heard… We run into each other in the corridor. Mrs. Brown exclaimed, “She’s literally crying.”

“He could have covered her mouth with his hand.”

“Who knows what could have happened, but it certainly makes us more aware now.”

The family’s home is now under construction, and a carpenter had previously informed the family that someone had been spotted rushing through the house earlier in the day.

Presley’s feeling of security has been shattered, she claimed.

“Every time I enter into my closet, my room, my bathroom, everywhere,” the girl explained, “I just think about it and remember how terrible it was.”

Cox is being held in Carter County Jail on a bail bond of $40,000 (£32,000).
