Despite their nature, Jeremy Wade decided to test whether these fish were attracted to meat even if there was no smell of blood in the water, and he did so by entering a swimming pool where hundreds of specimens of this species had been placed.

The first time Wade dropped a drop of blood was to see if the fish were being dragged by him, and the effect was that the little predators went crazy when they felt they were going to feed.
