Everyone has plants in their house or apartment, not to mention the owners of beautiful gardens. What not many people know is how poisonous some of the most common plants around us are. Here are 4 plants in your home that can kill you and how to avoid their toxicity.
Dieffenbachia

This ficus-like houseplant is also on the list of the most toxic plants in the world. Chewing any part of the plant causes terrible pain in the mouth and throat, followed by swelling of the airways, which can lead to suffocation.
The story of little Esteban, who died after putting a Dieffenbachia leaf in his mouth, went viral on the internet. “My son died because of this damn plant,” his mother wrote on social media. “Please read carefully. My child died because he put a leaf in his mouth. His tongue swelled so hard he suffocated. This plant is found in many homes and offices. It’s lethal. It can kill a child in just one minute and an adult in five minutes. ”
Tisa (Taxus Baccata)

One of the most poisonous garden plants in mountain areas, yew is almost entirely poisonous.
Only yew fruits are less harmful. In antiquity, the yew extract was used by healers for abortions, but many times the result was the death of the mother and child.
There is no antidote for this toxic plant and the poison in it acts relatively quickly.
Rubarba (R. rhabarbarum)

As tasty as rhubarb pies are, so deadly are the leaves of this plant.
Whether raw or cooked, rhubarb leaves cause heartburn, convulsions, internal bleeding, coma, and death.
Plague (Datura stramonium)

Plague is a species of toxic plant in the genus Datura, family Solanaceae, popularly known as devil’s grass, crazy seeds, or the trumpet of angels.
Symptoms of poisoning with this plant (swallowing a very small piece of leaves or stems is almost fatal) are uncontrolled thirst, delirium, inconsistency in speech, blurred vision, coma, and death.
