A priest told on the internet an incident he experienced on a Sunday after the service.
“Every Sunday, before the service, I used to receive flowers from people. I kept most of them by the altar. I appreciated every flower I received and it was already a habit for the church to always smell of flowers.
On a Sunday that we considered as normal as other Sundays, a little boy came to me after work and asked me:
– Sir, what are you doing with so many flowers? Do you throw them away? If so, will you give me a rose?

I bent down and picked up a rose. I gave it to him and asked him what he would do with it.
The little boy who was not more than ten years old told me:
“I want to give it to Grandma.” Mom and Dad divorced last year. I stayed with my mother for a while. Now she is going to remarry and sent me to my father, but my father did not want me either, so he sent me to my grandmother. Grandma, she’s good to me. She cooks for me and takes care of me. She loves me very much and that’s why I want to give her a flower.
When he finished what he had to say, I had almost no voice. My eyes filled with tears.
– Son, it’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard, but know that a rose is not enough. Please get all the flowers here. There are a few families who bring them to church every week. Get all the flowers! Grandma deserves the best. ”
