Mariam gave birth to her first twin pair in 2013, a year after she married a 40-year-old man.

Subsequently, the woman continued to give birth to a large number of children at each pregnancy, due to a genetic condition.

Later, at the age of 40, doctors forbade the woman to become pregnant for her own good. Mariam was happy that “she is finally free”, according to the Ghanaian press.

The woman revealed in an interview with the Ghanaian press that she wanted to take contraceptives after the first pregnancies, but that the doctors told her that they could lead to complications due to her genetic condition. As a result, at the age of 40, she had to undergo surgery after which she could no longer have children.

The mother heroine gave birth to six twins over the years and was pregnant four times with triplets and five times with quadruples. In total, the woman had 15 pregnancies, which resulted in 44 children. Unfortunately, six of her children have died, but Mariam Nabatanzi is raising and caring for all her other 38 children.
