Vicky Pyne is a mother whose daughter died at the age of 17 from Hodgkin’s disease.
About a year before she died, her daughter gave her a special gift – a silver necklace on which she engraved her and her sister’s name, along with their fingerprints, she writes uniquely.
From the day she received this gift, Vicky has not taken it off her neck. By the time he made a trip to New York and, in the crowded Manhattan neighborhood, he realized he no longer had it around his neck. The woman tried to look for him in all the places she visited but to no avail.
Extremely upset by what happened, she kept looking for the necklace. When she got home to Manchester, England, she posted the whole story on Facebook, hoping that someone would see her post and find her necklace.
And then a miracle happened.
Just two hours after Vicky gave up looking for the necklace on the crowded sidewalks of Manhattan, a local found it. Freddie Ortiz had gone for a walk with his family when he discovered the necklace. Noticing how special it was, she decided to take it home.
Coincidentally, the man saw Vicky post a friend on Facebook the same day. Ortiz immediately sent an e-mail to Vicky Pyne to give her the good news.
Moreover, to make sure that the chain reaches its destination, Freddie Ortiz and his wife decided to go to England to return the necklace to the woman, which for her is a small part of Alice.
