Two elderly people in the United States prove that love does not take age into account.
What do newlyweds want and how does marriage feel at 102? Here is their love story!
Marriage at 102!
John Cock, a 100-year-old former war veteran, has united his destiny with Phyllis, who will turn 103 on August 8th. The newlyweds celebrate their new life and enjoy the Ohio asylum where the two live.
CNN reports that Phyllis comes from a long-lived family, so her mother lived up to 106 years.
Retirees went to court last week to obtain a marriage certificate, at which point they learned they could get married on the spot
“That wasn’t the plan, but we were there and they told us they could marry us. Then I said, ‘Well, let’s get to work,'” John Cook said, according to the source. John and Phyllis argue that this is not a hasty decision at all, because they have been living a beautiful love story for more than a year.
“Honestly, we fell in love with each other. I know this may sound forced when it comes to someone our age, but we did it, ”said Phyllis Cook.
They both have two active marriages, and now they feel lucky to have found true love at this age.
“That was not the plan”
“We are compatible in many ways and we have come to enjoy each other’s company,” John said.
The two retirees from the United States spend all their time together: they sit in the sun, eat and ride in electric carts in the halls of the Ohio asylum.
“Congratulations to the newlyweds! John and Phyllis met at Kingston. They decided to get married at 103 and 100, respectively! It is never too late to find love!
Congratulations to the new couple “, was the message of the asylum where they met and where they still live their love story.
