Heartwarming! An old widower goes daily to leave daisies on his wife’s favorite bench.

The love between the two elders remained just as real after his death, and their story impressed everyone.

Bud Caldweel lost his wife, Betty, a week before she turned 80. The two had a long and happy marriage.

His wife’s death came as a shock to Bud Caldweel. Out of the desire to be as close as possible to Betty, even after her death, the old man promised himself that he would go to the park every day to leave her flowers. Betty had a favorite bench in the park where she was left with a lot of beautiful memories, so that became the place where Bud left her a daisy and a penny every day.

He decided this because his wife had two favorite songs about daisies and pennies: “Daisy a day” and “Pennies from Heaven”.

However, when winter came, Bud faced a major obstacle, namely the thick layer of snow on the ground, which prevented him from reaching his wife’s bench. He walked every day to the edge of the park, but without being able to reach the bank.

Another day, he found a snow-covered path and was able to reach his favorite place. On the bench, he found a fresh bouquet of daisies. He later found out that two employees of the park administration service, who knew the old man’s habit, thought of giving him a helping hand and carrying on his gesture of love.

Bud confessed that he will never forget what the park employees did for him. Then he resumed his daily habit of going to bear the flowers of his great love.
