The man leaves everything and runs to the elderly neighbor who was crying and repeating in a trembling voice “I was left without him …” What happens next is shocking:

“He looked at me through the lenses of his sunglasses and in a trembling voice said, ‘I’m out of it.’ These words tore my heart to pieces. ”

Do you know what this man did in the light of the worst news anyone could ever hear? He hurried to the street and offered a stranger the warmest and most sincere hug ever!

This man is Aldon O’Neill Ward III, a man anyone would want as a neighbor. And there is a good reason why Mr. Aldon has become so popular.

Most of the time, Aldon puts a smile on people’s faces as they pass his yard, but one day, when he noticed an elderly neighbor with tears in his eyes, he knew in his heart that there was no room for jokes or smiles.

He didn’t even know the woman’s name, but that didn’t stop him from hurrying to the street and giving her a big hug.

It is this gesture that places him at the top of the best neighbors of all time!

Aldon shared on his Facebook page the story of the meeting, which was also captured by one of the surveillance cameras of his house.

It all started in 2011

“In 2011, I saw two older people going for a walk in the neighborhood every morning and evening. Pair with bad weather clothing, wearing sports shoes and each holding a cane in his hand. ”

“Every day, the couple greeted Aldon and then stopped for a few moments to talk to the man’s dogs. Whether it was raining or sunny, the good mood could always be read on their faces. ”

“They always said what a beautiful day it is, even if the two were walking in the rain without an umbrella. I never found out their names, but we all knew where they lived. ”

This scene was repeated for years, with the couple occasionally stopping for a short discussion.

But recently, the story has taken an overwhelming turn…

“I sprayed the lawn with fresh water. Griswold, my huge poodle, was nearby guarding me against mosquitoes and squirrels that occasionally appear. At one point I noticed a person wearing a jacket slowly descending the street. Alone, the woman approached. I made them by hand, she made them by hand. Then I asked her jokingly, ‘Where’s your half?’ ”

The woman, whose name Aldon still didn’t know, slowed down and began to shake her head – the kind of reaction people have when the news isn’t good.

“He looked at me and in a trembling voice said, ‘I’m out of it.’ These words tore my heart to pieces. ”

Aldon acted instinctively and rushed into the street with a knot in his throat.

“Ma’am?” I said as I approached her. He came back and with tears flowing from behind his glasses he didn’t say a word, then we hugged. A heartfelt hug. As if she were my mother or grandmother. ”

The woman was immediately comforted by the hug and burst into Aldon’s chest.

“I’m just trying to do the things we used to do, so I feel like he’s around… I need that.”

Sometimes all you need is a heartfelt hug even from a stranger to make your day easier.

And sometimes we have to remember all the gestures of kindness that still exist and will always exist, as long as we have a man like Aldon by our side.
