The young man decides to commit suicide; But when he looks at his dog, he realizes what to do with the rope: “When I returned home determined to put into practice what I had set out to do, I went into the room to take the rope, but…
Many know that the old saying “The dog is man’s best friend” is perfectly true; But have you ever considered what this really means?
The role of the best friend is to always be by your side when you need him.
But apart from your family and your spouse, how many people can you say are really with you? Probably not many.
But when it comes to the love and loyalty of a dog, you can bet there are few chances to let you down.
This was also learned by Byron Taylor during a period of deep depression.
The 23-year-old from Gloucester, UK, recently went through what he considers to be the hardest period of his life.
Life is like a roller coaster, and since Byron was in a delicate time, his girlfriend decided to leave him.
In an interview with SWNS TV, he explained that when his ex-girlfriend left him, he felt that everything around him was collapsing.
“I had a long relationship with my ex-girlfriend. And it ended very badly. A very difficult period followed and I tried to commit suicide. My ex left me. It was horrible. He left with all my money and things. I actually lost everything. I couldn’t afford to pay the rent anymore. ”
With such a burden on him, Taylor became increasingly depressed.
One day, the depression became so overwhelming that he thought of what could be worse. Taylor began to believe that things would get better if he simply didn’t exist.
Considering suicide to be his only escape, he took a piece of rope and built a rope.
Although Taylor was convinced that life was no longer worth living, fortunately, his 6-year-old dog Geo was of a different opinion.
Geo has been with Taylor since the quadruped was only 5 months old. Taylor explains in the video below that her guardian angel had another owner, but as soon as he and Geo met, it was love at first sight.
Taylor already had four puppies at home that she cared for, but she knew Geo was something special.
Feeling that something was wrong with his human friend, Geo began to fear that the owner he loved so much would leave him alone in this world.
After Taylor prepared his rope, he decided to go downstairs to write a note explaining to his family what made him resort to such a gesture.
Fortunately, that was when Geo stopped his friend’s suicide attempt.
When Taylor returned upstairs, determined to settle his life, the young man was surprised to find that Geo was holding the string between his teeth and had no intention of releasing him.
Geo is what Taylor describes as a “pretty quiet” dog, so when the quadruped grabbed the rope with which Taylor intended to end his days, the young man was surprised.
As he tried to pull the rope out of the dog’s mouth, Geo began to growl, and Taylor assumed that the quadruped was in the mood to play.
But as he continued to fight the dog for the leash, Geo began to be more and more aggressive with his master showing his fangs.
Geo had a clear message for its owner: I will not let you go!
As it became increasingly clear that Taylor would lose the fight with his dog, he realized that Geo was trying to convey something to him.
“When I returned to put into practice what I had set out to do, I went into the room to take the rope, but it was in Geo’s mouth. I tried to take it from him and at first I thought he was joking because he kept growling as if he wanted to play… Only when I insisted on taking it by force did I realize that it was not a game. He was showing me his fangs. He didn’t want to let me take the rope. ”
Then Taylor realized that Geo knew exactly what he was doing, feeling it was his responsibility to stop the young man from ending his days.
“When he finally let go of the rope, he growled almost as if he wanted to warn me; calm down or bite you. “
Looking back, Taylor realized how blessed it was to have a friend as good as Geo.
“It was a very difficult time, but if Geo hadn’t been by my side, I wouldn’t be here now.”
Geo is living proof that sometimes the dog is the one who can save our lives.
