The locals refuse to help the paralyzed dog until a tourist sees him crawling on the beach. Here’s what happens

A paralyzed dog struggling to get around caught the eye of Meagan Penman, a Canadian-born tourist.

Ignored by the locals, malnourished and full of wounds on his feet, the quadruped crawled on a beach in Thailand.

What Meagan did next turned her into a real heroine, and her story was shared by thousands of people impressed by her deeds.

The Canadian model was on vacation in Thailand, when she saw the puppy struggling to move, crawling along the beach.

The dog had been hit by a motorcycle, and its owner had done nothing to provide him with the medical care he desperately needed.

Meagan tried to find a shelter for him to take care of but was unsuccessful, so worried about the dog’s fate and the fact that he had not lived long, he took him to a local veterinarian.

Radiographs revealed that the poor dog had a fractured spine.

The seriousness of her condition meant that she had no chance of being picked up by a local rescue center, so she began looking for a solution to transport him to her home in Canada.

She made an appeal on social media and not long after, hundreds of generous animal lovers donated more than $ 2,000, enough to bring him from abroad and for the treatment he so desperately needed.

The young woman named him Leo, probably due to the lion’s power she showed in the fight for survival, despite the cruel diagnosis. His story even caught the attention of local television.

Leo was extremely calm and happy throughout the trip and after two months of treatment, Leo was ready to move into his permanent home.

Because of his busy schedule and disorganized lifestyle, Meagan was unable to provide Leo with the home he so desperately needed.

Fortunately, Jamie, a great animal lover, found out the story from her Facebook page and offered to take care of Leo.

K9 Carts, an animal rehabilitation center with locomotor problems, offered to help him with a special stroller so he could walk again. In addition, thanks to donations from wonderful people, all medical bills and veterinary treatments were covered.

Despite all the hardships he went through, Leo proved to be a fighter, wanting more than anything to live and have a little love.

Unfortunately, he still has problems with the urinary tract, although he has undergone several surgeries.

So, until a suitable solution is found, he must wear a dog diaper.

When he was found by Meagan, Leo had only a few weeks to live, but because of his immense heart and compassion, this dog was given the chance to enjoy a long and happy life.

What an incredible dog Leo is! We hope he receives all the love and happiness he deserves.
