The man was forced to leave his beloved pit bull in the shelter:

Lewis Jimenez, an Austin resident, was having financial issues one day.

Aside from these issues, the landlord prohibited the man from keeping a dog in the apartment.

This was a major setback for Lewis, as a pit bull, Titus was more than a pet to him; he considered him a true friend.

Lewis would be evicted immediately if a dog remained in the residence, the man was told.

Lewis requested friends and family to temporarily house a pet dog, but they all declined for various reasons.

The man was then obliged to make a desperate move. He had to take Titus to a refuge for animals.

Lewis promised the shelter employees that he would return the pet as soon as his troubles were resolved, but no one believed him.

“We hear similar comments virtually every day, but no one ever returns…” – the shelter’s workers explained.

Lewis persisted in convincing animal rights groups to postpone the pit bull’s hunt for new owners.

He adopted Titus as a puppy and has always regarded him as his best friend.

The individual was actively involved in resolving his financial troubles during the next six months. However, this did not stop him from seeing his pet on a regular basis.

So, after four months, Lewis returned to the orphanage to get Titus!

The man followed through on his commitment and returned to retrieve the dog.

“We had a very special day yesterday. Titus and his devoted owner went for their new home. ”As soon as Lewis’s concerns were handled, he promptly took the pet!”, said the shelter’s employees.

Everyone was overcome with emotion, especially Lewis, who could not hide his delight.

“Titus is a fantastic dog. When I’m depressed, he always understands and tries to cheer me up! According to Lewis.

It’s been a long four months for Lewis and his cat, but it’s finally over! They’ve reunited once more.
