Kayla, who now lives in Las Vegas, has undergone a dramatic physique transformation in the last two years. According to a video broadcast on the Truly channel, the young woman struggled from childhood obesity and at one time slipped into the category of morbid obesity.
Kayla weighed 155 kg at her heaviest. On an aircraft, she claims, she came to the realization that she needed to change her way of life.
In order to fit on the plane, Kayla had to purchase two seats and request a larger belt. She resolved to reduce weight after that event.

Kayla claims she has struggled with her weight since she was a child. She has two sisters, but her connection with food was problematic.
“I was eating a lot of pasta because I was reared in an Italian household and my father is Italian, so I ate everything carbohydrate-related: pasta, bread, pizza, whatever.” Chips were always my go-to snack. “I could eat a family’s worth of food in one sitting,” Kayla added.

Kayla chose to modify her bad habits after a terrible flight, despite the fact that she had struggled with weight for most of her life.
She had an incident that defined her and convinced her that she needed to lose weight when she traveled to Los Angeles to visit her sister.
“I required two seats and a stretch belt to walk down the aisle; if I went someplace, I’d hit everyone,” Kayla explained. “It was difficult and disheartening, but it provided the drive I needed to make a lifestyle change.”
Kayla began to consider Barbie dolls as a model of attractiveness when she gained weight.
“I’ve always adored Barbie since I was a child. “I was a child who went to physicians and nutritionists, and my parents took a Barbie away from me as a treat since I had always adored her,” Kayla continued.
“As an older child in the 1990s, I didn’t have a lot of clothing options, so I dressed like an older woman.” As a result, I lived through Barbie, combining her outfits and wishing I could wear something similar, “Kayla continued.
The physicians told the young woman that she had thyroid issues, which explained why she was gaining weight and how difficult it was for her to shed the pounds.
“I didn’t want to lose weight because I desired a certain appearance. “Kayla said, “I knew I wasn’t living my life to the fullest.”
She chose a laparoscopic longitudinal gastrectomy to remove her stomach. “It was the least invasive, and I knew that once 75-80% of my stomach was gone, it was gone.”
Kayla began to live a better lifestyle after the operation. She shed about 100 kilograms in two years and has maintained a healthy weight for the past year.
She began by walking, which quickly evolved into a morning run. She exercises every day, regardless of how tired she is, and eats a nutritious diet.
