Dog Sneaks Out Of Kennel Every Night

Don’t overlook this post since it might be the most touching story you’ll read all week. At a pet motel, an Australian shepherd dog was captured on camera sneaking out of his kennel to comfort two scared puppies.

Maggie, a shepherd dog, was left at Barkers Pet Motel and Grooming in St. Albert, Canada, while her owners were away for a couple of nights. She had been put up for adoption and separated from her own litter of puppies just two weeks ago, according to her owner.

As a result, when she heard two puppies whimpering in an adjacent kennel, she cleverly broke out of her kennel to soothe the two puppies as if they were her own.

Hannah and Kari, two puppies from a local rescue group, were brought to the motel to wait for their forever home. When the puppies realized they were alone in this strange area, they were terrified and began to whimper. Maggie was there, thankfully, and her mother instincts kicked in right away.

Fortunately, the entire charming moment was captured by the facility’s CCTV cameras and then uploaded on Facebook, winning everyone’s hearts. They added in the post, “We see a lot of lovely things here at Barkers, but this one takes the cake…”

“We were watching her on the cameras, and she turned right around and located their room. Sandra Aldred, the owner, told CBS News, “She paid them a lot of attention and you could see her little tail wagging.”

Sandra was ecstatic to return to the facility after seeing the heartbreaking incidents captured on film. “She was overjoyed, and she led me back to their room as if to say, ‘I really need to meet these puppies.’… and ‘They were all just so pleased to be together.’ She needed the puppies, and she needed them. It was almost ideal.”

“We put them together for a bit, and they were all ecstatic.”

Maggie’s family picked her up later that day, and they had no idea their pet dog would become an internet phenomenon following her brief time at the dog motel. Both puppies are expected to find new homes, according to Aldred.

What a charming tale! Please spread the word to your friends and family!
