A desperate dog chases down a car to beg for a forever home.

Martina Russo and her companion Fil travel in their van on a regular basis, but they rarely encounter stray dogs. However, while driving through the Spanish countryside, they noticed a small dog chasing their automobile. They initially assumed the dog was just having fun. The longer the dog ran, though, the more distressed she appeared to be. As a result, the couple welcomed her inside and began looking for her owners.

Moxie is the new moniker for the Shih Tzu/Yorkie hybrid, and she’s here to stay. She finally found a place where she belonged after many ups and downs. What a fortunate dog!

An Exciting Chase

It didn’t take long for the couple to see that something wasn’t quite right about Moxie when they first met her. They were perplexed as to why she was running in the middle of nowhere, as she refused to stop chasing the vehicle. So, they stopped to give her water and she gratefully jumped into their van.

Martina and Fil searched high and low for Moxie’s family. They canvassed the neighborhood and even advertised online, but no one recognized the dog. They eventually returned her to the location where they had found her to see if she would flee back home, but she only wanted to be with them.

“The next day, we took her to the doctor, and it turned out she wasn’t chipped, hadn’t been spayed, was female, maybe a year old, and her fur was quite overgrown and full of gunk around her eyes,” Martina explained.

Because no one seemed to be looking for Moxie, the couple decided to adopt her. After all, the puppy had made an instant link with them, and they knew she would be content in their home.

A Lost Dog Finds a New Home

Moxie now joins Martina and Fil as they travel across Europe with their pets to explore the sights. Moxie is an excellent travel companion because she is energetic and does not like to be separated from her humans.

“She’s nice and amusing, energetic, and she adores our cats – to be fair, she adores everything and everyone!” (This is especially true for cats and children). “We enjoy bringing her on adventures, and she never fails to make us laugh,” Martina said.

Moxie keeps up with her humans despite her petite size and short stature. Even when she’s in the mountains, she enjoys going on walks. Moxie’s journey to Martina and Fil during a difficult moment in her life is incredible. She acted as though she already knew they’d be the ideal family for her, and she was correct!
