Prince Harry, an unprecedented blow to his father

Prince Harry dealt his father another setback. The Prince of Wales is unable to meet his niece, putting his reputation as a future monarch in jeopardy.

Prince Charles, the successor to the British throne, has never met Lilibet, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle’s kid. Lilibet is six months old, yet she has never met her grandfather and was only introduced to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, via video call.

The last time Charles and Harry met was during Duke Philip’s burial in April. According to sources close to members of the British royal family, the two have only spoken on the phone a few times since April, and their connection has significantly cooled. When a gala honoring the late Princess Diana was held in July, Harry and Charles did not even meet.

Lilibet was born in June in Los Angeles, California, where the Dukes of Sussex had relocated after relinquishing their royal titles in the United Kingdom. According to royal family relations quoted in The Sun, Prince Charles has not paid a visit to his niece and has not seen her through a video call.

Prince Harry admitted in a podcast a few months ago that he relocated to the United States with his family to “stop the cycle of pain” he had endured as a child.

“He treated me in the same manner as he was handled!” Harry remarked something that was interpreted as a dig at his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Duke Philip. The schism between Harry and Charles began with the Duke of Sussex’s decision to leave the British royal family, which startled and wounded Charles. When Harry claimed he was “worried” about Saudi tycoon Mahfouz Mara Mubarak bin Mahfouz, things got much worse.

He’s the subject of an investigation regarding his father’s charity donations. According to reports, Harry received a £50,000 payment from Mahfouz for his Sentebale organization in 2013. After donating £1.5 million to the Prince of Charles Foundation, Mahfouz was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire), which translates to “Order of the Knights of Excellence of the United Kingdom,” a few months later.

An investigation into the issue has been launched, and Harry recently stated that he had broken up with Mahfouz for “personal reasons.” Furthermore, Harry stated that it had nothing to do with the “CBE affair,” as he put it.

“The Prince of Wales is very startled and disappointed by Harry’s latest comments (n.r. – on the CBE incident), which actually brought his father to his knees,” a close friend of Prince Charles revealed. There are concerns that Harry’s memoirs may include this incident with Mahfouz. This attack was more destructive than the blows to Charles’ parenting abilities because it posed a threat to his company, which was harmful to a future ruler. Because Charles has no way of retaliating or defending himself publicly, he will keep mute with dignity.
