They enjoyed the hot sand and the sound of the waves – they were so close to imminent danger
One of the favorite places for people when they feel the need to detach from the crowds of the city, the noise produced by cars, and the dizzying tall buildings is the sea. The sea is the perfect place where we can retire to forget about problems, stress, worries, and work tasks. As soon as we step on the hot sand, it is as if we are sinking into total relaxation. A long look at the horizon fills us with hope and makes us curious to explore more this journey full of surprises called life. Two families planned in advance a getaway to the beach, a well-deserved weekend of relaxation and detoxification. Destination? West Bay, Dorset, a beach on the English Channel, also known as Bridport Harbor. It is the location chosen by many families for relaxation, however it can be a real danger as we can see in the attached image.
Once they reached the beach, they chose the perfect place to lie down. After a few hours, they heard a very loud noise that frightened them badly and made them overthink about what would cause such a weird sound, so they started to look around for answers. After a few moments, they found the source. The rocks collapsed on the nearby beach, not far from where they were staying. More than 2,000 tons of stones collapsed on the sand, creating that sound that almost made the ground shake.
Fortunately, no one was in that place, so there were no casualties. Therefore, it is recommended to research the areas where we intend to settle. Authorities in the area have always said that the cliffs are not 100% safe and that it is highly recommended that people keep their distance from the huge cliff. It is not the first time such events occur and it is preferable for people to stay on the safe side. The two families moved as far away from those rocks as possible, preventively.
