The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry, and Meghan, have announced the birth of their second child, a baby girl, writes BBC. Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on Friday morning in a hospital in Santa Barbara, California. Both the mother and the child are healthy and well, the couple said in a statement.

The couple said that they named their second child “Lilibet” after the name they gave to the Queen Mother, the baby’s great-grandmother.

Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the British royal family congratulated Prince Harry and his wife Meghan on Sunday night on the birth of their little girl.
“The Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news of the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s daughter,” a Buckingham Palace spokesman said in a statement.

A message of congratulations also came from Prime Minister Boris Johnson, on social media: “Many congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for the birth of their daughter,” the head of the Conservative government posted on Twitter after the couple, settled in the US after retiring from the royal house, announced the birth of her second child.
The couple was also congratulated on this occasion by the Invictus Games Foundation, an international sporting event for injured veterans on the battlefield created at the initiative of Prince Harry.
“Congratulations to our patron Duke of Sussex and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of their second child! Welcome to the Invictus Lilibet ‘Lili’ family Diana Mountbatten-Windsor!”
