Greek Animal Rescue (GAR) is a charity founded in 1989 and has one purpose, to help abandoned dogs on the streets, abused, injured on the streets of Greece. The animals they rescue usually find welcoming homes in European Union countries and the UK.

In the video below we see the story of Agnes, she was abandoned on the streets of a Greek city where she lived for at least 6 months before being rescued. Agnes had a 1.8-pound table around her neck. Her tumor was so big she couldn’t even lift her head.
Agnes had to endure a treatment that lasted almost 3 months until she fully recovered.
