No one wanted this silver-eyed baby girl until a woman saw a picture of her and changed everything

Primrose was born in China with congenital glaucoma, a medical condition that completely transformed her eyes.

In the first 23 months of her life, she did not receive any treatment and this caused her a lot of pain and torment.

She was unable to see, even more, a hearing impairment made her unable to hear like a normal child. Primrose’s mother abandoned her and so the child ended up in an orphanage.

Abandoned and without anyone close to her, she never learned to drink from a bottle and was neglected most of the time. She could barely hold her head up, and she never knew what love or comfort meant in her short life until then.

On the other side of the globe, Eryn was raising two children with her husband, Chris. He simply happened to browse photos of adoptable children on Facebook when he saw a picture of Primrose. The child broke her heart and something inside her told her that she had to make every effort to adopt that little girl.

They struggled to raise the money needed for adoption, and when they got to her, the little girl had a fever and was very ill. At that moment, they were not sure if Primrose was healthy enough to be adopted and to go home with her new family. Fortunately, Eryn, Eric, and Primrose overcame all difficulties and were able to go home together.

After Primrose had spent a little over a month with her family, Eryn wanted to pay homage to her new daughter in a post.

She wrote:

“These are the eyes of a mother who rested only 4 hours last night. And the hands that held and stroked a child’s back for 45 minutes just to remind him every time that

“Someone is here for you.” A heart that is somehow wrong at least 1,000,000 times a day. The mind was full of questions, anxiety, and fear. It’s a mess. A total mess. And life is completely turned upside down, because… Primrose Lin. ”

“This is a child who until 38 days ago did not know the comfort of being held in his arms for most of the day. Who didn’t know that someone would come to her when she shouted at her sweet tongue.

She didn’t know she could drink from a bottle without the liquid reaching her small lungs directly. She had no idea that an older sister could hug her better than anyone, and an older brother could tickle her until she chuckled with joy. ”

“This is a child who received a mother and a father 38 days ago. Which he cannot see or hear. Which he doesn’t fully understand. Which took her away from everything she knew, no matter how serious the reality was, and put her in the middle of a family.

A mother and father who watched her fight for her own life, who cried next to her feverish body, who struggled through third-world hospitals and pretended to be brave – because that’s what moms do and dads. We stand in front of all the fears for our children, don’t we? ”

Although the girl still has a long way to go, she is making progress every day. She is learning to trust her new family. She learned that when she cries, someone comes to caress her or make sure her needs are heard and taken into account. He has learned the love of his parents, a little brother, and a sister, and he knows that he is always safe.

She spent so much time alone and was treated so carelessly that learning to love and be loved now is a real challenge for her.

The more the family loves and educates Primrose, the easier it will be for the little one in the long run.

Although she will always face vision and hearing problems, there is still a chance that she will be able to live a normal life, with a family that loves her and pampers her unconditionally every day.

Richard Bach said, “The essential connection in a genuine family is not that of blood, but of respect and joy for the life of each member of it.” Share if you agree!
