The protagonists of this event, which has gone viral on the internet, are a dog and its elderly owner, who with a slight note of naivety, perfectly demonstrates the wonderful connection between a man and his four-legged friend.
It all started when the old man, seeing his sick dog, decided to take him to a hospital… for people!
The incident took place in Huejotzingo, a small town in central Mexico. The man noticed that lately, his four-legged friend was not feeling very well: he did not eat, did not drink liquids, and was very weak. As a result, he decided to go to the nearest hospital with the dog wrapped in a raffia bag, asking the doctors to help the dog.
Predictably, the doctors told the man that this was not the right place to treat a puppy and that he had to go to a veterinary clinic, not a hospital for people.
The man was very worried about the health of his faithful friend and through tears, he asked him again to do something for the poor animal: in the face of such a naive and emotional request, the doctors could not give back.
Doctors examined the dog and noticed that it was in fact dehydrated, depressed, and very weak. They gave him an antibiotic and a moisturizing infusion and soon the dog showed the first signs of improvement.
Tears of emotion ran down the man’s face for the availability of doctors and for the joy of not having to say goodbye to his dog.
Even the doctors were pleased with the way things went: they even advised the man to bring the dog back if he felt sick again!
