The dog abandoned by the owner because it was “too ugly” is adopted by a family who turns it into a happy dog. Here’s his story
Every living creature is worthy of goodness. And every dog deserves a good and loving home.
Unfortunately, however, homeless dogs waiting on the streets and in shelters have no idea how dignified they are. A puppy named Nelly was told she didn’t deserve anything and was abandoned on the street by her cruel owner on the pretext that she was a “very ugly” dog.
Fortunately, the adorable creature was rescued by Sidewalk Specials volunteers. They knew full well that Nelly certainly deserved a much better life and the love of kind people.
However, their expectations were probably too high because no one rushed to adopt them. This was devastating for the volunteers who knew that for her complete recovery, Nelly needed a stable environment.
As a result, the volunteers resorted to a plan!
They filmed her story and posted it on their YouTube channel. The fans shared Nelly’s story, and fortunately, it reached the perfect people. They appealed to the shelter, wanting with all their hearts to adopt it!
Nelly, now called Lilly, is living the best time of her life with her new family. Her adoptive parents own a spacious farm where Lilly interacts daily with all sorts of adorable creatures. She, who has spent much of her life struggling to survive on the streets, now has sunny days, running and playing with her new friends.
Lilly is also very much loved by her new human family. Her story is living proof that anything is possible if people show interest and work together. No dog is unadoptable! No creature is “too ugly” to be deprived of happiness. And Lilly is the best proof!
Watch her amazing story in the video below. Sincere thanks to the volunteers from Sidewalk Specials!
