Courage is a gift that we receive with experience, throughout our lives. To be brave does not mean giving up your fears, but to continue resolutely on your own path, despite all obstacles.
Eli is a 7-year-old boy who, despite being a child, has a lot of spirits: the house where he lived suddenly caught fire one night, but he did not give up the responsibility of intervening, he was the only one able to save his sister, who was only a few months old.
A little hero who managed to complete an incredibly dangerous action that many adults could not have accomplished.
On the night of the fire, the Davidson family had dinner in peace. Chris and Nicole then took their three children to bed, and after a while, they retired to the bedroom. During the night, the couple woke up with a strong smell of burning in the air. A few minutes later, the two realized that a fire had broken out and immediately fled to save the children. However, the youngest of the brothers, Erin Davidon, just 22 months old, was trapped in a room.
“The smoke and fire were so strong we couldn’t reach her,” said her father, Chris Davidson. “We tried to enter her through the window, but there was no way to get there. So I shrugged Eli’s shoulders, and he went in the window and was able to save his sister. ”
Eli, the 7-year-old boy Davidson had taken into custody a year earlier, showed incredible courage by returning to the burning house. The little one was obviously frightened and initially thought he couldn’t do it; Suddenly, however, he shouted at his adoptive father, “I found her father!” He was very afraid, but at the same time, he wanted to save his younger sister’s life at all costs.
Both Nicole and Chris couldn’t be more proud of him! The Davidson family, both firefighters by profession, have several adopted children, including Eli, and have officially adopted two more – Erin (22 months) and Elijah (2 years). Unfortunately, the family lost everything they had – the house was completely destroyed by the terrible fire and it will not be easy for them to start over. Fortunately, a few friends have opened a fundraising page, and through the generosity of acquaintances and strangers, the Davidson family hopes to get out of this nightmare soon.
