Angel, a greyhound mix, was traumatized as a result of her treatment at an abusive pound. She was rescued by the animal rescue organization PAWS, but it was evident that the cruelty had taken its toll.
The poor puppy was terrified and refused to turn around.
She simply pressed her face against the wall, as if she wished to be as far away from the harsh realities of life as possible.
Angel would soon receive a visit from her own “angel,” and everything in her life would become a lot brighter.
PAWS is an Irish non-profit animal rescue group.
Every year, its staff and volunteers fight tirelessly to save hundreds of animals from abuse. They give interim shelter for the animals while searching for permanent full-time homes.
Angel was rescued from an abusive circumstance and returned to one of the organization’s shelters.
Angel, on the other hand, would just press her face against the wall and refuse to turn around.
Officials told Inside Edition that she “simply faced the wall in [the] office and refused to move for days.”
When food was delivered to Angel, she didn’t even turn around.
When no one else was there, the staff would place food near her and she would consume it. Angel was terrified by all of them.
She must have learned that everything and everyone around her was a threat as a result of the abuse she had received. Angel would learn to trust again, but it would take some time and the appearance of a familiar face.
Angel, on the other hand, would experience something incredible, something that would completely change her life.
PAWS was able to save another dog from the same pound where Angel had been.
They hoped that Angel’s attitude would be lifted by seeing the familiar dog, and that is exactly what happened.
Angel’s sibling, the shelter staff presumed, was the new rescue. Angel’s personality altered as soon as he arrived, and they dubbed him Cliff.
Angel gradually transformed into a completely different dog after several months.
“Her personality has dramatically changed, and she’s discovered her voice,” an Inside Edition spokesperson said.
Angel is on the lookout for a forever home.
Angel’s caregivers at PAWS began seeking a forever home for her now that she was a happy and healthy girl.
The team hoped that her future would be filled with love and family after all of the tragedy she had experienced.
Angel was adopted by a caring couple who had recently lost two dogs.
They knew they wanted Angel to be a part of their family the moment they met her. Angel now has a permanent home and all the affection she deserves.
Her road to happiness was long and winding, but she made it safely.
Angel was featured in an Inside Edition piece that was uploaded on their official YouTube channel. The video has been seen over 12 million times and has gone viral.
Many viewers felt impelled to post their own comments on the video.
“Why do we deserve dogs when they are treated like this?” one of the viewers wrote
“Amazing makeover,” one person said. “I hope this doggo gets lots of love and kisses.”
