The Presley family conflict seems to be getting worse. RadarOnline.com has learned that Priscilla, the late Elvis Presley’s ex-wife, has supposedly been “shut out” by her granddaughter Riley Keough for contesting an amendment to Lisa Marie’s will.
Insiders believe that Priscilla has been temporarily barred from the lucrative estate and that Keough visited Memphis to “alter the locks on the upstairs doors and archives.”
“The only people with keys before were Angie Marchese, director of the Graceland Archives, Priscilla, and Lisa Marie. Thus, Priscilla is now shut out and is enraged!”
Priscilla and Riley’s representatives have been contacted by RadarOnline.com for comment.
After the memorial service for Elvis’ only child, the tension seemed to reach an all-time high when Priscilla’s attorneys filed a petition challenging the “authenticity and validity” of an amendment to Lisa Marie’s living trust from 2016 that included the Graceland home and a 15% stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE).
The revision transferred the rights to Keough and Lisa Marie’s late son, Benjamin, who died by suicide in 2020, all of Lisa Marie’s children with Danny Keough, and removed Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s previous business manager Barry Siegel as cotrustees.
Lisa Marie’s handwriting on the document, according to Priscilla, “appears discordant with her daughter’s typical and customary signature.” She also pointed out that Lisa Marie’s name is spelled incorrectly and that the document was never notarized or handed to her as needed.
According to entertainment attorney Mitra Ahouraian, who discussed the legal file, “Priscilla would want to preserve control of this trust in order to genuinely defend the interests of the children.”
The 14-year-old twins are another factor to take into account when it comes to Lisa Marie’s other children from her fourth marriage to Michael Lockwood, according to Ahouraian.
Ahouraian told Entertainment Tonight, “There is a $35 million life insurance policy that would go to the benefit of the children. That’s a lot of money that may easily go away very quickly if it’s not being managed properly.
The King of Rock’s estate is now in the care of Lisa Marie’s three daughters, according to Lisa Marie’s representatives. According to reports, Priscilla and her granddaughter are both angry about the situation for various reasons.
The Star Wars actress believes she is “seeing a new side of her grandmother” and is “not seeking for a conflict,” according to insiders who spoke to Page Six. As a result, Priscilla and Keough have not been communicating.
