All parents worry about their children, especially when they are young.
We make sure that they do not get lost, that they are not exposed to unnecessary dangers, and we strive to keep them healthy and free from disease.
But some things cannot be seen with the naked eye, and unfortunately, we may lose sight of something serious until it is too late.
That’s why Jennifer Abma really wanted to share with her parents the terrifying story of what happened to her daughter, Anastasia.
Most people are already aware of how dangerous it can be to leave an animal or a child in a hot car during the summer.
Every year we hear a lot of stories about heroes who act quickly and save children or pets from such situations.
The biggest risk associated with sitting in a hot car is, of course, sunstroke, which can be very dangerous and even fatal.
But cars left for hours in direct sunlight are not the only place where people and animals can get sunburned by excessive heat.
Jennifer Abma used the social networking platform Facebook to share her terrifying experience with her daughter, Anastasia.
She hopes that her folly will make people think twice and that no one will ever go through such a thing again.
Here is what he had to say:
“This is how my evening unfolded and it was the most terrible moment I could have ever imagined, being very serious insolation. There is nothing more frightening than not being able to wake your baby.
This is clear proof that a child does not have to sit in the sun to sunbathe. It took us 20 minutes to wake her up, and when the ambulance arrived, she came with a team of investigators, because they didn’t know what to expect, just like me. ”
“This is the best proof that things can take an unexpected turn quickly.
Anastasia went to sleep alone, I had no idea how hot it was in her bedroom until I went to wake her. I found her sweaty, red-faced, hot flush, and I couldn’t wake her for 15 minutes. The ambulance arrived faster than I would have ever imagined, took his blood sugar which was 1.2 although it should have been over 4, they gave him sucrose and in a few minutes, he started to cry, being extremely scared. ”
“No, it’s not my fault that this happened, but it’s impossible for me not to blame myself. This is a lesson learned and we hope that other parents can understand some of this and make sure they check the rooms in the house because they can be as dangerous as a car left in the sun.
I’m still in shock and I can’t imagine what would have happened if I hadn’t gone to see what he was doing. God was definitely on our side yesterday, and I’m grateful for the ambulance service and for Jay, who came as soon as he could to reassure me. ”
It is a great joy that everything ended well for Jennifer and Anastasia, but it is essential to be aware of this type of situation and the danger of sunshine, especially since summer is in full swing.
