Friends of Lisa Marie Presley weigh in on the ongoing court dispute between Priscilla Presley and the late singer’s estate over claims made by Priscilla.
According to the New York Post, a friend of the late singer disclosed that Priscilla, who had been a long-time trustee of the Elvis estate and made $900,000 annually, did not have her contract renewed by Elvis Presley Enterprises in 2020. Priscilla had been a trustee of the Elvis estate for a long time.
One of Lisa Marie’s long-time friends, who had known her for more than a dozen years and had a close relationship with her, said, “Lisa would be furious!” “She would be extremely distressed if she knew that Priscilla was acting in this way. Riley is an incredible trustee, and Lisa’s two younger girls are in excellent care with her.
In addition, according to the acquaintance, Lisa Marie and Priscilla did not even want to sit next to each other during the Golden Globes that took place earlier in January 2023.
Lisa didn’t want to have anything to do with her mother, so she avoided her completely. She had not spoken to Priscilla in seven or eight years, and throughout that time their relationship was essentially nonexistent. “They never talked until there was absolutely no other choice,” the friend revealed.

Riley believes that Priscilla’s challenge to the late Lisa Marie will go against “her mom’s intentions,” according to a source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight.
“Riley wants to keep the family together and keep Lisa Marie’s legacy in a positive light, but she feels that her grandmother’s activities are pushing the family apart even more,” the source said. “Riley feels that her grandmother’s actions are pushing the family apart even more.”
After Lisa Marie’s passing on January 12, 2023, her representative confirmed to Entertainment Tonight (ET) that Graceland, the former home of Lisa Marie’s father, Elvis Presley, would be passed down to her three daughters: Riley, who is 33 years old, and the twin’s Harper and Finley, who is 14 years old.
In January, legal representatives for Priscilla filed a petition in Los Angeles challenging the “authenticity and validity” of an amendment made to Lisa Marie’s trust in 2016. The modification eliminated Priscilla from her role as a co-trustee and put Keough in charge of the trust’s administration.
