Jennifer Grey remembered the 1987 automobile accident she and Matthew Broderick were a part of that claimed the lives of two ladies.
Following the publication of her latest memoir, “Out of the Corner,” Grey, 62, discussed the incident in an interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Paige Gawley that was released on Thursday. The automobile accident occurred while the two were traveling together in Ireland, she claimed in the novel, a few weeks before the “Dirty Dancing” movie release.
According to Grey, the vehicle accident in Ireland was one of his top three most traumatic experiences. “When you have a near-death experience and witness other people’s deaths, it can be very difficult to convey. It was quite unnerving to be all by myself on a rural road in the middle of nowhere with no one else nearby or conscious.”

The vehicle tragedy, Grey continued, “prompted so many other things” in her life.
“Since Matthew had survived, but was comatose, had amnesia, and was severely damaged, I was the only witness still alive. I believed he was dead “Grey revealed to ET, adding that she had no idea that there had been fatalities at first.
“At the time, I was not even aware of the awful deaths of two additional women. Simply said, you don’t recover from it in the same manner “Added Grey.
In addition, Grey supported Broderick, the car’s driver, saying that they were both sober at the time of the collision.

Grey told the outlet, “I wasn’t keeping any information that people seem to assume I did because they wanted an answer and there was no answer since it was an accident. “And nobody was drinking, and [Broderick] was a wonderful driver. It was merely a coincidence. It was heartbreaking, and I frequently think of the Irish family.”
1988 saw the breakup of Grey and Broderick, according to Us Magazine.
Following her split from Broderick, Grey dated Johnny Depp that year, became engaged, and then called it quits nine months later.

“There was heat present. That was an absolute bonfire “Grey spoke to People. “I said to myself, “Are you freaking kidding me? Are you kidding me, man? This person is unlike any I’ve ever seen.”
In a recent interview with ET, she discussed Depp’s defamation case against his ex-wife, Amber Heard.
All Grey could say about the trial was that it broke her heart for everyone involved. I simply find it to be depressing, hope it could be fixed, and wish everyone the best.
