Saving Private Ryan star passed away

Tom Sizemore, who played Tom Ryan in Saving Private Ryan, passed away in February after suffering a cerebral aneurysm. He was 61.

Fans were informed by the actor’s manager that Tom passed away peacefully on Friday at a hospital in Burbank, California.

Doctors informed Tom’s family that “there is no further hope” and advised them to make a “end-of-life decision” on February 28. On February 19, the actor passed out at his Los Angeles home due to a brain aneurysm, which doctors have determined was caused by a stroke.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1961, and his breakthrough performance came in Oliver Stone’s 1989 film Born on the Fourth of July.

He also starred with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze in the director’s 1994 classic Natural Born Killers, with them in 1991’s Point Break, and in 1993’s True Romance opposite Val Kilmer and Christian Slater. He had an appearance in Twin Peaks, David Lynch’s revival miniseries, in 2017 as insurance agent Anthony Sinclair.

Playing second fiddle to Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan is nothing [to scoff at], he stated in 2005, adding, “I was very, very satisfied with the way my career was going.”

But, tragedy and criminal accusations, especially those of sexual assault, devastated his personal life.

He was found guilty in 2003 of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss, also known as Hollywood’s Madam, and uttering criminal threats. In a later letter to the judge, he acknowledged that he had “permitted my inner demons to take over my life” while initially rejecting the accusations.

On the charges, he was imprisoned for six months.

By Some Miracle I Made It Out of There, the title of his memoir, which was inspired by a line from Saving Private Ryan, was published in 2013. It chronicled his protracted battle with addiction; he started using narcotics when he was 15 years old.

“I was a man who had overcome great odds to achieve success. He added, “I had the multimillion-dollar property, the Porsche, and the restaurant I co-owned with Robert De Niro. Yet I felt that fame had made me a pampered movie star “.

In 1996, Tom wed the actress Maeve Quinlan; however, in 1999, they divorced. With his then-partner Janelle McIntire, he gave birth to twin twins, Jagger and Jayden, in July 2005, but due to his addiction, he was not very present in their early years.

“In the beginning, becoming a father didn’t really alter me much. I was sick “In an interview with The Reel Breakdown in 2012, he stated. The guys were hidden from me, too.

He later acknowledged in a 2017 interview that he has been clean for four years: “My life’s gotten a lot better, it’s been a true story.

“I’ve been clean for over four years, but the first two were incredibly difficult. I believed I would never again smile. But, I’m grinning once more, so stay with me until you feel better.”
