A puppy named Melios was abandoned on a highway in Greece when he was only 3 months old.
Scabies had spread throughout his body and had a fractured leg that prevented him from moving.
Tired and disappointed, he crawled to a secluded place and fell asleep to forget his pain.
But poor Melios’s health was so serious that he saw no hope of survival and even refused to look up. The woman took Melios to the car and transported him to an animal shelter in Athens, the capital of Greece.
He was so fragile that veterinarians needed to be extremely careful when they examined him. Unfortunately, his broken leg proved impossible to operate and his only chance was to recover on time.
The turning point in Melios’ life came when he was adopted into a temporary home by a person with experience in caring for dogs.
His new adoptive mother cared for him so well that after they met she fell asleep like a baby in her arms. Due to his care and treatment, he managed to get rid of scabies and it was only a matter of time before he could move again; she only limped when she was tired.
One day, Melios approached his adoptive mother and showed her how grateful he was for the help he received.
Not only his body but also his spirit was healed and he wanted to thank the angel who gave him a new chance at life!
When he was fully healthy, a Dutch family finally adopted him and made sure that he would never go through any suffering again.
