We are heartbroken for the beloved actress Christina Applegate.

Since receiving her MS diagnosis in August 2021, Christina Applegate has been brutally honest about how difficult it is for her to deal with the symptoms.

The Dead to Me actor is unable to go around without a walking stick, which she previously described as “now part of my new normal,” and she has experienced insomnia in addition to the neurological condition’s characteristics of numbness and tingling in her extremities.

Although Christina enjoys support from her family during her challenging health struggle, Selma Blair, a close friend who revealed her own MS diagnosis in 2018, has been Christina’s biggest supporter.

Selma, who co-starred with Christina in the 2002 film The Sweetest Thing, acknowledged that they are each other’s biggest supporters.

Christina continues to help me. She’s simply a strong person. She is, in fact. Selma said on Entertainment Tonight, “She’s such a nurturer. She is at your place if you need anything. There have been times when I’ve lost my composure, and she says, “I’m outside.” She’s really fantastic, resilient, and entertaining.

But I’m more like, ‘OK, if you need help with canes,’ and everything like that because I’m really into all of that, like all the things that help me get around, but she’s getting it locked down,’ said Selma.

She has a ton of responsibilities. It’s a lot, yet she’s still elegant and intelligent.

Christina acknowledged that she had started exhibiting MS symptoms years earlier but had no idea they were related to the illness, such as numbness and a tingling sensation in her limbs.

She told the New York Times in an interview, “I wish I had paid attention. But how could I have known?

“There was the idea of, well, let’s get her some medicine so she can get better,” Christina said after being diagnosed. And there is nothing superior. But I found it beneficial. I had to go through the grieving process for losing my life and that aspect of myself.

Christina also stated that she has gained 40 pounds in the last 18 months as a result of her decreased mobility, but she also said that she is aware of her changing appearance. I’m going to be seen for the first time as I am in this situation. Prior to the final season of Dead to Me, she admitted, “I gained 40 pounds.

Without a cane, I am unable to walk. I want people to know that, she continued, “I am quite conscious of all of that. The actress also discussed how she had trouble falling asleep as a result of her MS symptoms, writing on Twitter in May that “MS is weird that way.”
