A young girl has paid tribute to her late mother by modeling her wedding gown in a gorgeous photoshoot.
On Oct. 25, one year after her mother’s death from cancer, Nora Davis, 4, wore her mother’s dress, bouquet, and jewelry.

Davis’ sister, Adrianne Blackwelder of Statesville, North Carolina, claimed, “Nora was on Cloud 9.” “I believe [Amber] wished for that. Nora might enjoy it, but it’ll be a memory she’ll cherish for the rest of her life.”
Amber Davis, 28, died on July 28, 2015, at the age of 28 years old, after a year-long battle with cervical cancer.
Blackwelder characterized her sister as a caring individual who prioritized others before herself.

Blackwelder told ABC News, “She was the first one to step up and protect you.” “She was that kind of person, and she was that kind of mother.” She had the most wonderful laugh, one that was both joyous and humorous. To model after, she was like a mother. Amber was composed, even when the situation was tumultuous.
She said, “Even when she was in excruciating pain, all she could do was inspire others.” “It’s so easy to get caught up in trivial matters, but she was the kind of mother who recognized exactly what was important.” It blew my mind because she was awake and full of life, whereas we would be depressed and crawl back into bed.”

Davis had three children: Noah, eight, Nora, four, and Reid, three.
According to Heidi Spillane, a friend, and proprietor of My Three Arrows photography, she came up with the idea of having her daughter Nora shoot her in her wedding gown after she was diagnosed.
“I replied, ‘Let’s set a date to finish it,'” Spillane remembered. “However, she took a turn for the worse after that.” We never got around to scheduling things since she was all about spending time with her family. Nora has that unique opportunity to be connected to her mother by wearing her outfit, I believe she just experienced that vision.”

Nora wore her mother’s gown — the same gown she wore when she married in February 2011 — for a photo session on Oct. 25 with Spillane and Davis’ relatives. Nora’s hair was even done by her mother’s hairstylist. Derek Davis, her father, also took part in the touching photoshoot, according to Blackwelder.

“I expected it to be emotional,” Blackwelder remarked, “but it was simply a wonderful occasion.” “On the day of their wedding, we talked about Amber.”
Amber had asked Blackwelder to “make sure my kids remember me,” and Blackwelder intended to comply.
“There’s nothing like that mother-daughter tie,” Blackwelder continued. “I believe Amber desired something unique for herself. Nora relished her time as a tiny princess.”
